![]() The foundation of Blackfire Cavaliers was acquired through the help and mentoring of Anne Eckersley-Robins, whom we consider to be one of the premier Cavalier breeders in the United States today. Today we have a wonderful Cavalier family, pictured below. We first joined the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, USA in 1981, and have always had at least one Cavalier since then. When she inherited Charlie (the other human in the house) two years later, he too fell in love with Winston and the breed. Please look me up on Petfinder to find out how to contact the nice people taking care of us so you can learn more about us and what you need to do in order to add me to your home.We have owned Cavalier King Charles Spaniels since 1978, when Katie inherited Winston, an unbelievably good and lovable Blenheim male. People moving, having babies, allergy problems, puppy mill dogs, abandoned and abused dogs, you name it and she works to cover every possible area to help find forever homes for any kind of dog in need no matter what the situation is. ![]() Ginger also works hard on placing special needs dogs, dogs whose owners have passed away or senior citizens having to move into nursing homes & they must surrender their beloved pets. These dogs are all waiting for that miraculous second chance in life that they so deserve. These dogs are wonderful and they are only put down because they have no owners to claim & adopt them in time. Ginger specializes in saving “Death Row Dogs” scheduled to be euthanized because shelters lack room and funding. We are a non profit 501 C 3 Organization Please email for an application so we can meet soon! ![]() This adoption fee is firm as the pet rescue needs to recoup the money they spent in order to save the next dog in need. Donations are always appreciated to help us pay down our huge vet bills of over $ 20,000. This will also go towards helping many of our rescued dogs who are in desperate need of orthopedic surgery, dental and teeth extractions, cherry eye removals and boarding fees. My friend Gomer the Papillon who had knee surgery. My puppy mill buddy ~ Gomer needs a $ 1300 knee surgery so a part of my adoption fee will go towards his surgery since the nice people who took us in do not want to send any of us to our forever homes without making sure that we are in as good of health as possible. y fee is so high because my dental alone to help take care of my teeth was over $ 300 no one bothered to take care of my health when I was living in the puppy mill and my teeth really suffered. My adoption fee of $ 795.00 takes care of my expenses and vet bills: getting neutered, cost to save me out of the puppy mill, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Deworm, Grooming, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and Transport expenses. I am so very grateful to Ginger’s Pet Rescue for saving me and all my buddies from the puppy mill we were living in and knowing that we needed extra special love to learn how to be dogs. I am great with other dogs, older kind and gentle kids but have not been around cats before. I would love to be your lap dog and just hang out with you. The nice people that are taking care of me think that I would really benefit from training classes where I would become more confident and learn what you expect of me. I would do best in home with another small playful dog as I am slowing learning how to be a pet. I want nothing better than being your best friend so if you adopt me, I promise to be a great companion! I come from a retired breeder and spent my entire life in a kennel so I need a lot of extra tender loving care. I really love everyone and am trying to be brave – but I have not learned the basics of walking on leash, soft beds and a gentle touch. I am only 9 little lbs, very cute but need a lot of love, patience and understanding. I am very shy & scared right now and will do best in a home with another small dog that can teach me how to play and feel comfortable. My name is Tony and I am an adorable 4 yr old Tri colored male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
